Banyan Tree Funding was founded as the personal investment vehicle of three partners who wanted to take advantage of the current market conditions seeking high returns in well secured real estate loans. The partners have decided that one of the most profitable investment strategies available is to invest in non-performing loans that are part of the multi- trillion dollar melt down of the sub-prime market, loans originated on single family homes throughout the United States. Previously, in 2008, the three principles founded Ironwood Funding. Combining the collective experience of having purchased and originating over 280 loans we created Ironwood Funding as an experiment to test the current market viability of our investment strategy We purchased dozens of loans over a ten month period in 2008 we were able to successfully exit from all these loans at a significant profit, thus proving the investment feasibility in this current market. The founders of Banyan Tree Funding are all successful real estate entrepreneurs who have decades of development, property management, financing and lending experience. Banyan Tree Funding is the the second generation of this business model. The first generation, Ironwood Funding was proof of the business model, in which the critical systems required for this business venture were developed, tested and implemented.
